Application of Bloom’s Taxonomy
Bloom’s Taxonomy is a widely used educational organizational schema that arranges three domains/categories of learning: Cognitive, Affective, and Psychomotor, into progressive levels of educational activities and learning behaviors. Teachers in many school districts are often asked to document how their units, objectives, assessments, and/or curriculum fit into this taxonomy. The guide provides suggested learning objectives and assessments in the Cognitive and Affective domains for Moving to Higher Ground. The charts provide teachers with a convenient and effective tool to organize and document their alignment to Bloom’s Taxonomy.
