Alignment to Common Core Standards

Common Core Standards: The Common Core of State Standards contain anchor standards that define college and career readiness expectations. They have been adopted by 45 states as indicators of language arts expectations. A list and description of The Common Core Standards that are met by this study guide are found at the end of the guide. Specific standards are indicated in the questions at the end of each chapter summary. When using this information, the teacher knows exactly which standard is being taught, and through evaluation of the students’ answers, knows which standard is being mastered.
